Over a century ago, the Mathison family settled on Stemilt Hill, a fertile growing region located on the edge of the Cascade Mountains near the town of Wenatchee, Washington. They planted their first 10 acres of apples, pears and cherries in 1914.
By 1964, second generation farmer and tree fruit pioneer Tom Mathison founded Stemilt Growers under the premise that people everywhere should have access to fruit that is rich in flavor.
